Meet Astropause

An image of the band, Astropause in 2014.

Originally an all-male, multi-ethnic live performing act, Astropause redefined their sound in 2014 when members Steven, Giovanni, Kyle, and Noah welcomed their first and only female member, Angelique, as lead vocalist.

Together, the quintet forged a dynamic, genre-blending identity on stage until naturally disbanding in 2019 as members stepped away to focus on starting their families.

Following their final bow, Astropause went truly global. Steven returned to South Korea, Noah to England, and Giovanni moved to his wife’s residence in Monaco, while Kyle remained in the Philippines. Now based in the United States, Angelique is channeling that rich, multi-cultural, international history into her next chapter as a solo artist. Partnering with Influence Records, she is set to re-release a definitive 14-year catalog of her original music, carrying the band’s global spirit.

Steven Ha (스티븐 하)

Born in Monaco, South Korean multi-instrumentalist Steven Ha is the sonic backbone of Astropause. Seamlessly blending rhythm and melody, he drives the band’s eclectic sound across the drums, keyboard, trumpet, and an array of percussion instruments. Ha’s diverse musicality and multicultural roots infuse the group with a vibrant, worldly energy that defines their unique sonic identity.

Noah Goodfellow

Swiss-British artist Noah Goodfellow brings a rich, cross-cultural depth to Astropause as their male vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. He also dabbles as the group’s mixing and vocal engineer. Seamlessly blending rootsy Americana with classical sophistication, he anchors the band’s signature sound with his evocative vocals, rhythmic banjo plucking, and deep cello melodies. Goodfellow’s versatile artistry defines the soul of the group.

Angelique Sido

Bringing dramatic flair from theater and film, Christian singer-songwriter Angelique Sido is the captivating voice of Astropause. As a lyricist, composer, and multi-genre-trained vocalist with an extensive range, she shapes the band’s stories, occasionally playing acoustic guitar, piano, and violin. Offstage, her vibrant energy is fueled by basketball, hybrid sports, and martial arts, which drive her dynamic creative force.

Giovanni De Luca

Italian-German musician Giovanni De Luca injects Astropause with a striking blend of European heritage and instrumental flair. He expertly maneuvers between the soulful resonance of the violin, the elegant precision of the piano, and the earthy, driving rhythms of the cajón. De Luca’s distinct ability to weave these diverse textures together creates a captivating, layered soundscape.

Kyle Panganiban

Filipino-African musician Kyle Panganiban serves as the compelling lead guitarist for Astropause. Blending rich cultural roots with raw musical instinct, he shapes the band’s sonic architecture through his masterful handling of both electric and acoustic guitars. Whether unleashing soaring, high-energy solos or weaving delicate acoustic textures, Panganiban’s versatile playing defines their groove.
